Assembling your care team is an important step in taking charge of your own pregnancy and birth experience. The people you choose to allow into your space during this sacred time should be people that are willing to honor you as the center of your own journey and offer support in the ways that you ask for. You should also probably get along with them!

With that in mind, I would like to share a little about myself and why I am in this work. If you feel we would be a good fit, please reach out and connect! I would love to meet for a consult and discover if I am the right support for you.

I currently live in Minnesota with my wonderful husband, Matthew, and two little people. Aiden was born via an unplanned c-section in 2015, and is currently loving his status as a “big kid” who goes to preschool and adores spending time with his cousins. Elliot was born at home on a birth stool in 2018, and is currently pretty enthusiastic about food and her big brother.

As for me, I spent several years as a barista (and am still a bit of a coffee snob, to be honest) and doing other odd jobs, but never felt that I had found my calling until I dove into birth work while pregnant with my daughter. It was while I was planning for her birth that I fell in love with supporting pregnant people through their own birth experiences.

More recently, through further training and study, I have come to further appreciate the power that we have available to us in birth when we are honored and respected throughout the process. I’ve become passionate about coming alongside those who feel ready to dig a little deeper into learning about themselves and the birth process as they journey through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum.

Through Birth Consulting, I am able to listen as your questions you have surrounding birth, offer resources and explore topics that interest you, and ask questions about the kind of experience you are wanting to have during this unique time. This is a service available to anyone, in person or virtually, and is a valuable investment into your prenatal experience as well as birth and postpartum.

As a doula, I am able to offer all the benefits of Birth Consulting to my local clients, as well as attending your birth from start to finish. I also have a number of ways you can choose to have me support you in the postpartum period. The benefits of having a doula with you during your labor are numerous, and I am happy to share some of those with you during our free consultation as we get to know one another to see if we are a good match!
